Doolough Valley, Co. Mayo
Stone and Bronze Ages come and go, Viking, Norman and British invasions come and go, Booms and Busts come and go, but one place never changes - Doolough Valley in Co. Mayo. Located on the road from Leenane to Louisburgh, just North of Delphi, it is the ultimate in unspoilt Ireland. What mesmerised me in 1983, mesmerised me again with the same power in 2009. I can't wait to go back again in 2035. No artist could ever arrange the lakes, mountains and skies in such perfect harmony.
